A major port of significance within the Canadian supply chain network
Greenomy is a regtech company that specializes in providing reporting solutions for sustainable finance
Port Saint John’s location is it’s natural strength, ideally positioned to access large major population bases with three Class I railways (CPKC, CN and CSX), connecting across Canada, the United States East Coast and Mid-west markets.
Over the last 4 years, a quarter of a billion Canadian Dollars have been invested in infrastructure development in support of adding capacity through the Port’s container terminal. This, along with more than $400 million CDN in private sector investments from our Logistics Chain Partners, including global terminal operator DP World, has added the container capacity that enables trade and netted a 72% breakthrough growth in 2022 for Saint John.
“We are so incredibly pleased to have such strong and shared visions of growth here at Port Saint John. All levels of government and our port stakeholders have invested and worked collaboratively to see this vision come together. These significant investments will enable the terminal to further this period of remarkable growth, and provide much needed resiliency in Canada’s supply chain,” said Craig Bell Estabrooks, President & CEO, Port Saint John.
With the added capacity realised, Port Saint John along with their Logistics Chain Partners, have been successful in attracting three new container services within the last year, with focus on connecting Canada with the European Union. Hapag Lloyd has been an early adopter and strong supporter at Port Saint John, utilizing the additional capacity to compliment their existing North American offering and has included Port Saint John with the following weekly services: CES , MCA and AL5 .
With a strong history of bi-lateral trade and an existing free-trade agreement, the addition of these new services, compliments the need for building diversity and resilience into existing and future supply chains within the trans-Atlantic trade lane.
Port Saint John is positioned for performance and supporting a fluid supply chain network to enable trade globally.
